Guided Hunts: Most hunts are pack-in camps with gentle horses and comfortable heated tents. We also have one site that we can drive into if you don't like horses or in case of bad weather. On our guided hunts we provide everything except your firearms, bow, and personal gear. Meals are served family style and you will like the food. You'll have one guide for two hunters. (Limit of 6 clients per camp.) Our guides are friendly and competent. We do have a couple of guides in training who spend the weeks prior to your arrival scouting the movement of elk, deer and bear and establishing the camps. Game move frequently so we cannot always be certain where they are when your hunt starts but we will do all we can to locate them. MTO's proven commitment to quality service is marked by our many return customers. Many of our clients come to us as strangers and leave as good friends who return year after year. We have plenty of referances. Just ask and we'll be glad to put you in contact with some of them. We have been able to say we
have an 80% success in guided hunts and 50% in drop camps in
past years. Realistically the past two years have seen a drop
in success
rate due to weather, lack of snow, moon phases, etc. Each year
is different.
As you
know,
no one can guarantee your getting an elk or deer because
so
many factors are involved (ex. marksmanship, etc.)
However, we do everything in our power to help you find a good animal
to harvest but it is a HUNT and we have to work at it with you.
